Baked Pumpkin Doughnuts

Another reason to love Autumn is the completely gun-ho attitude to pumpkin. I mean pumpkins really are a bit underused, over here in the UK at least. Americans seem to have discovered a while ago how good they really are. Now, if you're a purist, you can buy a pumpkin, roast and puree it but I bought mine already pureed. If you buy the one that is 100% natural then the only ingredient is pumpkin which is great and if you've ever tried to carve a pumpkin you'll know it's really a bit of a faff.
