Ricotta Kisses with Strawberry and Banana Milkshake Powder

So this is actually a mash up of TWO recipes. The first are Baci Di Ricotta, which are translated ricotta kisses. Think of them as an Italian style doughnut. The recipe is from the domestic goddess herself, Nigella, https://www.nigella.com/recipes/baci-di-ricotta . They are usually sprinkled with icing sugar, but I saw Nadiya Hussain make funnel cake (think American fair, fried loops of crunchy golden yumminess) and sprinkle them with milkshake powder, strawberry to be specific. https://www.bbc.co.uk/food/recipes/milkshake_funnel_cake_20986

Now either recipe is great on their own but I had some ricotta that needed using up and combined the two. Let me start by saying the strawberry milkshake powder works better than the banana. I love banana but it simply doesn't taste as good. You have to add the baci di ricotta to the powder as soon as the come out of the oil, so the powder sticks to them. It would also be great to add a teaspoonful to the mix instead and then cover them in icing sugar, either way, they were really enjoyed and are a great recipe for kids.
